Our first book to stretch into magic realism, Blackout Odyssey is a genderbent retelling of Homer’s Odyssey during the 2003 Northeastern Blackout, with a lot more standing in Mallory’s way to getting home than nonfunctional subway lines and overcrowded shuttle buses.
