The adventure continues this spring for Ella Masterson, the magical Fixer-in-training from London (Ontario).
Following up the first book in the Other London series, Legends of Blades and Stories of Each Other takes a more theatrical twist—not to the movies, but to the stage, as live productions are interrupted by unexpected curses and the action shifts to nearby Stratford.
Readers found the first book fun, fresh, and inspiring, and this new instalment continues the action and humour for middle grade/tween audiences and beyond. Like the first book, Legends of Blades and Stories of Each Other includes illustrations, and the episodic nature of the chapters is designed to appeal to readers with ADHD or other attention disorders.
After its original publication date was delayed, the book is now scheduled for release on May 7 in trade paperback (192 pages, ISBN 978-1-998795-07-9, $17.99 CAD) and ebook (ISBN 978-1-998795-08-6, $4.99) formats. Virtual and in-person launch events are being planned around the book’s release and will be communicated via the Brain Lag website.
